这是觉醒的关键动作。当末那识被降权后，个人的行事动力不再完全受制于恐惧或贪婪。个人能在需要好胜心时唤醒它，在独处或陪伴家人时将其静音，从而让更深层的阿赖耶识接管方向盘。

This is the pivotal act of awakening. Once the manas (ego-mind) is demoted, personal agency is no longer wholly enslaved by fear or greed. One can summon competitiveness when the situation demands it, and silence it during solitude or family time, thereby allowing the deeper alaya-vijnana (storehouse consciousness) to take the wheel.
