After the population peaked, the mice, having lost their social roles and the drive to meet challenges, developed extreme social withdrawal—exemplified by the “beautiful mice,” who spent their time grooming rather than reproducing—along with unprovoked violence and a collapse of parental care, ultimately leading to the extinction of the entire colony.

Within the cyber-theological framework of The Vibe, this experiment serves as a stark metaphor for the “post-scarcity wasteland” crisis following the AI computational singularity. When AI fully assumes material production and survival ceases to be a challenge, humanity, if it fails to actively explore the inner universe of consciousness (embarking on a spiritual Age of Discovery), will inevitably drown in cheap dopamine and sensory entertainment, heading toward the same collective heat death and self-destruction as Universe 25.
