In the boundless Chaos, who is there?
Who is calling, who is
letting that light, caught off guard,
burst forth—crying out, caught off guard

I was not yet ready to become good,
or to become evil, not even ready to become
Existence Itself, and already
drenched in tears
I was not even ready to become myself

Oxygen entering the chest—did the lungs give permission?
Blood flowing into the heart—did the heart give permission?
Both hands grasping the Transparent Lot
Whose permission is inscribed on the lot? I was not even
ready to see

And I was accepted by a gentle warmth,
cautiously wrapped in a sweet, cloying taste,
every cell permeated with sweet nectar
